For the ninth edition of the annual European Try Tone Festival, Joost Buis is invited as curator. The versatile trombone player, lap steel guitarist, improvisor and composer is known for his collaboration with many groups among which his own band Astronotes. His choices for the program are based on the Tuesday night concerts in Zaal 100. The European Try Tone Festival will be broadcasted live by VPRO Radio from 9pm until midnight on Radio 6 and on the internet. ZATERDAGAVOND@VPRO – LIVE AT THE BIMHUIS On Saturday nights from October 2007 until June 2008, VPRO Radio 6 creates a series of special live broadcasts on in collaboration with the Bimhuis.
