DOUBLE BILL CLEMENS / PAUL VAN DER FEEN

Paul and Clemens van der Feen have made a name for themselves at a young age in the Dutch jazz top together with their brothers as The Feenbrothers. They still play in each other’s bands and now they will each present a new CD as band leader. ‘His palette is endless’, wrote de Volkskrant about double bassist Clemens van der Feen. His new, completely acoustic project originated from his composition ‘14PM’, and is inspired by drummer/composer Paul Motian who died in 2011. Odyssee is saxophonist Paul van der Feen’s new band which features Boy Edgar Prize winner Anton Goudsmit on guitar. Paul’s narrative compositions offer a harmonic framework for improvisations full of groove and expression.
