Contemporary jazz by British-Dutch pianist hailed by Jamie Cullum and Gilles Peterson. This year sees the release of his fourth album The Triolithic

Dominic J. Marshall is a remarkably versatile talent from the Amsterdam jazz scene. The 26 year-old British player was taught in classical piano by his father. As a teenager he created electronic beats and he developed into a jazz pianist and composer at the Leeds and Amsterdam conservatories. On his albums he mixes original compositions with material by, among others, Thelonious Monk, George Shearing and Nick Drake. At the Bimhuis he will perform with his solid trio.

In 2013 Dominic received the Emerging Excllence Award from Jamie Cullum and BBC DJs Gilles Peterson and Jez Nelson. The next year he won the Dutch Jazz Competition in the Best Soloist category. ‘He brings together a great heritage of the best with something very fresh and new’ (Jamie Cullum). ‘Impressive and insightful’ (Jazz Weekly).
