DOEK ABC FESTIVAL 2016

On April 30, International Jazz Day, in the Bimhuis:

Musicians from Amsterdam, Chicago and Berlin come together on the second night of the Doek Festival in various lineups, from solo electronics to octet.

Amsterdam, Berlin and Chicago are important junctions for improvised music. Musicians from all over the world meet each other in these ‘capitals of improvisation’ thanks to a network of venues and organizations. The six-day Doek Festival 2016 brings together musicians from the three cities in both new and existing formations. Day two at the Bimhuis opens with the trio featuring pianist Marta Warelis, followed by a solo performance of Annette Krebs and a set by the Jason Roebke Octet from Chicago.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 till 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
