dOeK#6 is as alert when it comes to new currents in improvisation as it is averse to trends, like in the previous editions of the festival: adventurous music for a curious audience. The members of the dOek-collective, Eric Boeren, Tobias Delius, Cor Fuhler, Wilbert de Joode and Wolter Wierbos are the programmers. They invited old and new faces: Tobias Delius lives in Berlin nowadays and brings Mrs. Conception, Wilbert de Joode plays with Christine Sehnaoui and percussion master Lê Quan Ninh, Eric Boeren formed an occasional group with Fred van Hove a.o., one of the founders of the European free jazz. Wolter Wierbos will perform solo and Cor Fuhler presents an ensemble with trumpet player Axel Dörner and harp player Clare Cooper. Drummer/percussionist Michael Vatcher celebrates the Longest Night in the Atrium, with festival musicians and audience. Night sounds with gongs as a starting point.
