The Conservatory of Amsterdam is full of young, talented musicians with a drive to create and inspire. From May 21 till the end of June, every tuesday our stage will be the playground of these Rough Diamonds. Every edition two promising bands will perform, access is free.
D!ma Loginov Five/Seven Elements
D!ma Loginov five/seven elements is a six man jazz band from Amsterdam, formed in 2022. The diverse backgrounds of the musicians, both in terms of origin and in the music they draw inspiration from (classical versus jazz) make up the band sound of this collective. A mix of original compositions and folk songs with jazz influences, including from band leader Dima Loginov’s native country, Kazakhstan.
Kyle Kalebdjian-Clark Quartet
The Kyle Kalebdjian-Clark Quartet combines the modern harmonies of contemporary jazz with the dance rhythms of Armenian folk music. In doing so, they create a special blend that is at both personal and forward-thinking.
