DINO SALUZZI GROUP

Great storyteller of Argentinean music has made many albums for the ECM label, with family members as well as leading jazz musicians.

Dino Saluzzi is still one of the most important figures in South American jazz, as proven by the Edison Jazz/World Award he won for El Valle de la Infancia, his most recent album on ECM Records. Past and present come together in the recordings he made with his family members, with whom he will perform at the Bimhuis as well.

Dino Saluzzi leads the group on bandoneon, the characteristic Argentinean folk instrument. The music is inspired by the little towns and villages he has visited in his youth, but has been simultaneously influenced by his collaborations throughout the years with leading jazz musicians, such as Charlie Haden, John Surman and Tomasz Stańko.
