DIMITAR BODUROV TRIO

Since his move from Bulgaria to The Netherlands in 2000 pianist Dimitar Bodurov has won important awards, including the Erasmus Jazz Competition and the Young Pianist Foundation Jazz Competition. On his CD Stamps from Bulgaria 2008 he uses field recordings of Bulgarian folk singers as a point of departure for inventive Balkan jazz. ‘Bodurov creates an exciting album by continuously taking steps beyond the obvious.
