Devendra Banhart, ‘a legend in the making’, is a singer songwriter in the line of Nick Drake or the young Donovan, with just an acoustic guitar and his voice he enchants the audience. Where his guitar playing remains sober, his singing is highly adventurous and surprising. Due to his unorthodox vibrato he permanently balances on the thin line between odd and out of tune. His songs move between the nonchalance and lack of compromising of John Frusciante and the artificial innocence of CocoRosie.
