Denis Pavlenko Quartet
This contemporary ensemble led by alto saxophonist Denis Pavlenko combines modern jazz, contemporary classical and jazz tradition techniques implemented in the original music of its leader. The band has started out during Denis’ master studies at CvA and involves instrumentalists of the highest talent.
Līva Dumpe Quintet
Līva Dumpe Quintet is led by vocalist and composer Līva, who has collected her strongest emotional experiences and put them into musical forms. The music balances between chamber-like texture using voice, flute, double bass, and rough, dynamic bursts in guitar and drum parts. Impressionistic, watercolor-like harmonies contrast the more experimental sounds and texts. Finalists of the Keep an Eye International Jazz award 2022, the quintet has announced themselves as a promising, innovative band with a tameless sound and the ability to take the listener on a spiritual trip to the meadows and forests of Latvia.
