The Puerto Rican tenor saxophonist David Sanchez continues the tradition of Latin jazz in his own, unique and contemporary way. He learned from the best teachers, the orchestras of Dizzy Gillespie and Eddie Palmieri. So far he brought out seven albums of which the highlights are ‘Melaza’, ‘Travesia’ and ‘Coral’. On these recordings he follows his own ingenious road through the abundant chords field of post bop.
