The Andalusian town Cádiz has brought forth such flamenco legends as La Perla de Cádiz and Chano Lobato. Among its current batch is singer David García Palomar. He had already collaborated with celebrities like Vicente Amigo, Moraíto Chico en Paco Peña at a very young age. Carlos Saura invited him to participate in the new movie ‘Flamenco Flamenco’, scheduled for release next September. ‘El Palomar’ is comfortable with traditional soleáres and seguiriyas, but with regular forays into contemporary pop, rock and jazz. His youthful voice has a sophisticated timbre and is powerful enough to give the listener goose bumps.
