David Kweksilber performs both jazz and classical music. He plays saxophone and clarinet in ensembles ranging from Asko|Schönberg to the New Cool Collective Big Band. As a band leader he brings together eccentric classical musicians and top improvisers in concerts full of exciting, scintillating new music. The repertoire includes new works by leading composers, as well as ground-breaking historical big band compositions. Tonight’s show features premieres of new pieces by Jorrit Dijkstra, Sanne van Hek and Hilary Jeffery.
Before and after the concert DJ/VJ Peter Kok will be playing historical music and showing special film material.
