As a band leader he presents concerts full of exciting, scintillating new music. Eccentric classical musicians play alongside top improvisers in his David Kweksilber Big Band. The repertoire includes new works by leading composers, as well as ground-breaking historical big band compositions. The group plays the Bimhuis every two months, on the last Monday of the month. Tonight will feature premieres of works by Sanne van Hek and Samuel Vriezen, alongside selected works from the big band’s growing repertoire of absolute treasures.

Before and after the concert, DJ/VJ Peter Kok will show unique historical music footage.
