The David Kweksilber Big Band opens 2015 with cutting edge music, featuring new works by, among others, Jasper Blom, Tjeerd Oostendorp and Richard Rijnvos.

The David Kweksilber Big Band presents scintillating, groundbreaking and richly varied musical adventure. Experience the overwhelmingly rich sound, the energy and the enthusiasm of this big band featuring pioneering musicians from improvised as well as modern classical music. The eccentric line-up of DKBB inspires composers from every possible musical direction. With different approaches and forms of improvisation the musicians turn the brand new compositions into the ultimate music of this moment.

The band will usher in the new year with new compositions and arrangements. The repertory features, among others, Jasper Blom, Tjeerd Oostendorp, Richard Rijnvos and Fats Waller.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
