Sparkling treasures by the David Kweksilber Big Band
The
David Kweksilber Big Band is a groundbreaking, versatile and exciting
ensemble. The band will perform at Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ on the
occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Bimhuis, as part of a festival.
Like none other this big band fuses jazz, improvisation and contemporary
classical music, presenting music by trailblazing composers. For this
special concert the band will pull all the stops, with sparkling
treasures from their rich repertoire.
Saxophone and clarinet
player David Kweksilber excels at both classical music and jazz. He
regularly performs at the Bimhuis with his big band, which features
pioneering musicians from improvised as well as contemporary classical
music. These musicians are all virtuoso specialists with unique
personalities.
