DAVE DOUGLAS KEYSTONE SEXTET

Dave Douglas, invariably elected to Trumpeter Of The Year by Downbeat, disposes over a technique that allows him to play anything that comes to his mind. This recent project is called ‘Keystone’ and contains compositions inspired on Roscoe ‘Fatty’ Arbuckle, one of America’s first and funniest stars of the silver screen from the age of the silent movies. Keystone is focused on his early work for the Keystone Production Company (1915-1916). The new compositions conjure up the humor, tragedy and hilarity of Arbuckle’s films and life.
