Children’s afternoon at
Bimhuis and Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, with concerts for various age groups
followed by musical activities throughout the whole building.

The greatest musical afternoon for children is the children’s afternoon
co-hosted by the Bimhuis and Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ. Concerts for three age
groups are followed by various musical activities throughout the whole
building. A concert for pre-schoolers (age 2-4) in the Small Hall of the
Muziekgebouw, a theatrical children’s concert (6+) in the Main Hall of the
Muziekgebouw and a jazz concert for young people (10+) at the Bimhuis:

Catchy funk and jazz by the trio DASH!, which
has stirred up the jazz world for ten years already. First
you’ll tap along, but soon you will jump around: DASH! lifts you up with a
catchy mix of funk and jazz. This year the group celebrates its 10th birthday.
It’s obvious the group has been around for so long; Maarten Ornstein
(saxophone), Alex Oele (bass guitar) and Eric Hoeke (drums) play together like
clockwork.

 

Tip: After the
concert there is a DJ at the Bimhuis cafe and before the concert there will be various musical
activities in the whole building for children of all ages.
