The jazz department of Conservatorium van Amsterdam proudly presents The Music of Aaron Parks, in collaboration with pianist Aaron Parks and arranger Franky Rousseau. The largest part of the program consists of compositions by Parks, from new works to pieces written for his trio, his band Little/Big and the star formation James Farm with Joshua Redman, with which he has performed sold-out concerts at BIMHUIS and Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ. Additionally there will be pieces by Rousseau, composer, arranger and band leader from New York.

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam Concert Band contains major talents of the CvA master’s program. Led by prominent Artists in Residence such as Justin DiCioccio, John Clayton and Dennis Mackrel the band regularly works on remarkable projects, including The Music of Joe Henderson, Stravinsky meets Ellington, The Music of Pat Metheny and Miles Ahead.
