CUBOP CITY BIG BAND & ROBERTO QUINTERO

The new concert series Otro Mundo, initiated by the reunited Cubop City Big Band, highlights lesser-known South American music genres. Led by drummer Lucas van Merwijk, the salsa band features twenty international musicians. ‘Cubop City is not only the most explosive Latin band in Europe; it’s also hot in North and South America’ (de Volkskrant). This concert with master percussionist Roberto Quintero (who has played with Eddie Palmieri, Richard Bona and many others) and singer Yma America, both from Venezuela, is dedicated to Musica Afro Venezolano.
