Indie classical festival presents mix of contemporary music and electronic pop.
Throughout the whole building this traveling indie classical festival offers exceptional combinations of contemporary music composition and avant-garde pop music. Famous Danish band Efterklang, My Brightest Diamond from the US and singer-songwriter DM Stith are the confirmed first main acts at Cross-linx 2017. Efterklang will perform together with The Happy Hopeless Orchestra and will also perform the opera Leaves. In addition to performing with her band, My-Brightest-Diamond singer Shara Nova will also play a leading role in the Unremembered song cycle, together with DM Stith and Padma Newsome, among others. Dutch band VanDryver and South African bass player James Oesi have also confirmed their performance at Cross-linx, which will be held in Eindhoven, Groningen, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
Previous editions have featured established artists such as Neil Finn, Glenn Kotche, Patrick Watson, Andrew Bird, The National, Squarepusher and Yann Tiersen, as well as rising stars such as Spinvis, Kyteman, Nils Frahm, Bink Beats and Son Lux. A ‘festival to watch’, according to American music magazine Pitchfork.
