CRISTINA ZAVALLONI IDEA

The classically trained Italian vocalist Christina Zavalloni has been a well respected guest of the Bimhuis since the 90’s. She collaborated with Simon Nabatov, Phil Minton and Dutch improvisors but also with her own Open Quartet. She is the favorite vocalist of composer Louis Andriessen who said about her:’ Christina combines various vocal styles in a unique way’ (Het Parool). Her new group also brings unclassified music moving between jazz and modern classical, picking up different popular styles along the way.
