On four Wednesday nights in February 2003, guitarist/composer Corrie van Binsbergen presented a series of literary concerts with Remco Campert, Toon Tellegen, Manon Uphoff and Kees van Kooten. This experiment turned out to be highly successful and was therefore followed by a Dutch tour and a new Bimhuis series. Every evening has its own character and construction. The stories are a guide line for the musical scenario composed by Van Binsbergen and performed by an exquisite ensemble of improvising musicians extended with a classical string trio. The new series opens with the new poet laureate of Antwerp and closes with the night mayor of Rotterdam (next date: May 25, Rasha Peper and poetry with Erik Jan Harmens, Hagar Peeters and Jules Deelder).
