Corrie en de Grote Brokken is a unique 12 piece band with top musicians from the Dutch pop & jazz scene and stands for true ‘crossover’; a spectacular mix of cinematic music, rock, pop, jazz, dialogues and hilarious ‘intermezzi’. Their previous program, ‘Gift from hell!’, dealt with the struggle in love matters, this time, social discomforts like loneliness and intolerance are the key themes and this will also be expressed in additional texts of writers: Remco Campert, Josse de Pauw, Esther Gerritsen, Drs. P and Jan Mulder (among others). ‘Van Binsbergen might not have a name in this field but her new creation is simply superior music-theatre.’ (NRC Handelsblad).
