Comicoperando is dedicated to the music of Robert Wyatt, a singular voice in British music. In the 1960s the singer/drummer was a founding member of the psychedelic jazz-rock band Soft Machine. Due to an accident he became confined to a wheelchair in 1973. The solo albums he has released since are exceptionally intimate, confrontational and politically conscious. Tonight, his eccentrically arranged songs will be performed by musicians and friends from like-minded groups like Henry Cow and Caravan. Featured singer Dagmar Krause is praised for her performances of the music of Brecht and Weill.
