Vocalist, composer and bandleader Fuensanta and sixteen young musicians take you on an exciting musical journey full of unexpected encounters and warm-blooded energy. This concert is the result of two days of experimentation in which diverse musical traditions are freely mixed with contemporary jazz. The starting points have been determined, the outcomes are surprising.
Fuensanta is an authentic artist. As a solo artist, with her trio Perseli or her 9-piece Ensamble Grande, she combines poetry and folklore into an innovative whole. Her roots are in Mexico, where she grew up surrounded by Latin and modern European music. She graduated summa cum laude from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, has won many prizes and is artist in residence at the Bimhuis. Syrian percussionist Hashem Kabreet is co-host of the evening.
CLUB PARTOUT is a musical breeding ground and a laboratory for innovation, for young musicians from all over the world. CLUB PARTOUT is an initiative of Orchestre Partout, in collaboration with Conservatorium van Amsterdam and BIMHUIS.
