Drummer, composer and band leader Guy Salamon and sixteen young musicians will take you on an exciting journey with jazz and folk music. This concert is the result of two days full of unexpected encounters and experiments. The starting points are determined, but the outcome is unknown. Expect joy, estrangement, and infectious energy at the same time.
Guy Salamon (1989) is an Amsterdam-based drummer, composer and band leader. He was born in Jerusalem, Israel, where he grew up in a musical family. He graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and made name with his eight-piece Guy Salamon Group. Since then, he has won various prestigious music awards. His debut album Unfollow the Leader appeared in 2019, and its successor Creatures! Creatures! is expected in May 2022.
