CLOD!:

Two promising bands step forward. The six-member ensemble of guitarist Teis Semey kicks off, followed by the five-fold CLOD !, around bass player Alessandro Fongaro. Both groups are deeply rooted in the Amsterdam jazz scene.

Teis Semey grew up in a tiny village in the Danish countryside. Via Sweden he ended up in Amsterdam and then in Los Angeles. There he released his debut album Where the Fence is the Highest. He now lives in our capital again, where he formed a band based on his second album Throw Stones: a colorful, international company in which improvisation, electronics, singing and poetry determine the character of the music.

CLOD! is the outlet of Italian bass guitarist Alessandro Fongaro, who pursues his bygone teenage dreams with this band. The result is a combination of bittersweet melodies, sharp improvisations and irresistible beats. At the same time you hear traces of sound experiments and indie rock in the music.
