Christian McBride is increasingly recognized as one of the best jazz bassists and artists of our time, with a cabinet full of Grammys and other prestigious awards. His mission is to affect as many people as possible with his enthusiasm for American jazz. With his band Inside Straight, he treats his audiences with stunningly tight ensemble playing and spectacular solos.
From jazz legends such as Sonny Rollins and Herbie Hancock to pop stars such as Sting and The Roots: Christian McBride has accompanied them on double bass and bass guitar. Since his first recordings with Roy Hargrove in the early nineties he appeared on over 300 albums. Additionally he developed an impressive oeuvre as a leader in various line-ups, from trio to big band.
