With his band Inside Straight double bass player Christian McBride plays the music he knows best: acoustic jazz, from challenging swing to bluesy grooves. His bass playing is characterized by its constant drive and power, whether soloing or accompanying others. He became known as a sideman for Wynton Marsalis.
