Both the successful gig in March and the performance with Dave Holland are still fresh in our memory while Chris Potter returns to Bimhuis for another live performance. At a young age Potter was already considered one of the best saxophone players of his generation. Underground is his current electric band, in which drummer Nate Smith lays the foundation with complex, funky grooves. Guitarist Adam Rogers takes his cue from Hendrix and Eddie Hazel (Funkadelic), while keyboard player Craig Taborn draws bass lines as well as chords and solos from his Fender Rhodes. With original compositions and covers from Radiohead, Dylan and Strayhorn, Underground connects music from different genres and eras. BIMHUIS card holders are required to pay an € 2 surcharge.
