CHRIS POTTER QUARTET

Dave Hollands Bimhuisconcerten van de laatste paar jaren zijn nu al legendarisch. Een belangrijke bijdrage tot dit succes leverde saxofonist Chris Potter, die nu voor de tweede keer met eigen groep het Bimhuis aandoet. ‘Of the new generation of twenty-something tenor saxophonists, Joshua Redman and James Carter have the highest profiles but Chris Potter may be the most resourceful and creative of the lot’, schreef the New Yorker. Dat vond ook de jury van de prestigieuze Jazzpar Prize, die vorig jaar aan Potter (als jongste winnaar tot nog toe) werd toegekend.
