Since his first recording (‘Jazz Advance’ from 1955), he never ceased to amaze the world.He always finds new ways to transform the spirit of Ellington or Monk, the touché of Bud Powell, the blues or a hidden motive of Chopin into characteristic Taylor music.It is his miraculous world, that unites the abstract and the earthly in grand gestures in which he lets the grand piano roar and whisper within seconds.
