The Celano Baggiani Group has a new line-up feauturing Joachim Badenhorst (Han Bennink Trio) on tenor sax and clarinet, and Clemens van der Feen on double bass. This new formation is the result of guitarist Guillermo Celano winning the 2013 North Sea Jazz composition commission. Celano and drummer Marcos Baggiani are irreplaceable parts of the Amsterdam jazz scene. However, their Argentinean roots are still a part of their sound; melancholy and traces of nuevo tango can always be found in their compositions. ‘Intensely melodic, unobvious structures for improvisation’ (The Wire).

entrance).
