CARTE BLANCHE CLARON MCFADDEN WITH AKA MOON & BABA SISSOKO

Afterwards: DJ PHILIPPONA

Fabrizio Cassol alto saxophone, Michel Hatzigeorgiou bass, Stéphane Galland drums, Baba Sissoko tama/ngoni/soku/vocals

Soprano Claron McFadden turns 50 having reached the top of the international opera world in an impressive 25-year career. She is celebrating this with a dance party at the Bimhuis. For once she will hand over the stage to her favourite band, Aka Moon, and her favourite DJ, Marijn Philippona. With the musicians of Aka Moon Claron has performed many concerts, which bridged the gap between her baroque singing and their Afro-grooves. Special guest is the Malian singer/percussionist Baba Sissoko, and it is not unlikely that Claron herself will jump on stage at some point; anything could happen.

Afterwards: DJ PHILIPPONA Jazz Lost & Found
Dance to the eclectic mix of hidden treasures & crazy grooves

Celebrating jazz since 1974
