Two trios from different generations improvise, each in their own subversive way. Cactus Truck takes it to the limit, not merely in terms of volume and speed, but through the unconditional surrender of the band members. With electric guitar, sax and drums they summon the spirits of delta blues, early jazz, no wave and Japanese noise. With similar inestimable energy Han Bennink, Ab Baars and Terrie Ex dive into musical undercurrents. This trio with members of ICP and The Ex bridges the gaps between bop, fee jazz and punk.
