BRUSSELS JAZZ ORCHESTRA

Belgian comic artist Philip Paquet creates beautiful graphic novels about jazz, featuring illustrious main characters such as Louis Armstrong and Charlie Parker. The concert Graphicology is based on Paquet’s sepia-tinted painted images. Four composers have created new works based on Paquet’s books. The combination of graphic novel and jazz is a new challenge for the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. The stories will be projected on the big screen in an exciting cinematic montage, combined with live performances of the soundtracks. As the highlight of the show Paquet will create a new comic featuring the Brussels Jazz Orchestra itself.
