BRUSSELS JAZZ ORCHESTRA + KENNY WERNER

New York based jazz pianist/composer Kenny Werner has an impressive career. He recorded with Charles Mingus and he has been touring for extended periods with Archie Shepp, Mel Lewis and Joe Lovano. His association with harmonica maestro Toots Thielemans has regularly brought him to Belgium. His successful shows with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra led to the release of their collaborative CD Naked in the Cosmos, on which atmospheric electronic palettes of sound and references to authentic swing are alternated with brass funk and bold bop soloing. ‘Naked in the Cosmos is a work of great love’ (Knack).
