BRAD MEHLDAU TRIO

Brad Mehldau-piano, Larry Grenadier-bass, Jorge Rossy-drums

Concerts of the most popular young jazz pianist of this moment are always a fascinating as well as a compelling event. Fascinating, because he unravels the pieces he plays and examines them layer by layer, from lyricism to abstraction and back, in which he sometimes takes breathtaking risks, but thanks to his incredible skill and alert interplay within the trio, he never gets his wired crossed. Compelling, because despite all the displayed techniques, the highly romantic, grand emotions always reach the surface.
