A concert of the most popular jazz pianist of his generation is always an event that is as fascinating as it is compelling. Fascinating, because he unravels and explores his compositions one layer at the time, taking breathtaking risks while never losing track because of his incredible skills. Compelling, because despite all his displayed technique, his highly romantic and grand emotions always find a way to the surface. Last springtime he changed his line up since he founded his trio ten years ago. Jeff Ballard, known from Kurt Rosenwinkel (among others) is his new drummer.
