BOOMWHAKALAA!! is a cheerful spectacle for young and old, featuring drums and rhythms from all over the world. Everybody can participate with the ‘boomwhackers’, colorful plastic tubes which can create music. The show is full of sketches and Caribbean songs which make it impossible to sit still. Dutch Antillean drummer/percussionist Roël Calister’ s group employs familiar and lesser known instruments, from congas to cajón, udu and pandero, in a swinging mix of pop, rock, jazz and Latin.
Duration of the concert is approximately 60 minutes.
