BLACK AWARENESS

The American bass player, composer and conductor John Clayton is invited as Artist in Residence at the Amsterdam Music Conservatory. In the project ‘Black Awareness’ he returns to the Afro American roots of jazz music. The program contains works by Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus en Quincy Jones, among others.
