BIMPOP: PETRA, WILDHART, FAUT HAUT
Thursday5 February 2015

New edition of BimPop, with great Swedish promise Wildhart and Dutch avant-garde pop by FAUT HAUT: macabre, rhythmic and balls out poetic.

The concert series Bimpop gives room to cheeky, adventurous pop music in the broadest sense of the word, by qualified musicians with guts, in a setting where every detail of the music can be heard. This edition will be opened by the duo PETRA featuring Anna Trap (vocals, guitar, zither) and Caroline Kamp (double bass, vocals). They combine experiment and improvisation with intimate pop and harmony vocals.

New Swedish sensation Wilhart might well experience its major breakthrough in 2015. For their debut album they have collaborated with producer Henrik Alsér (Robyn, Alicia Keys, The Hives). Wildhart grabs you by the throat with electro tinged pop with lots of room for classical influences and playful improvisation.

Macabre, rhythmic and balls out poetic: FAUT HAUT is the devious collaboration between Joep Bollinger (ex-Über-Ich) and Tim van Oosten (Roosbeef). The duo brings avant-gardistic songs with a twist. FAUT HAUT can be fun and awful at the same time. They’re rude, but in a subtle way. They’re new, they explore boundaries and they will move you. FAUT HAUT performs with a cast of star guests. At the Bimhuis they will be joined by guitarist Vincent Sibum and keyboardist Oscar Jan Hoogland.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
