BimLAB is an improv series in the Bimhuis café with unexpected musical encounters. Two curators are selected for every edition from the members of the Union of Dutch Improvisers (BIM), who were once the Bimhuis founders. Violin player Maraatsj played with ICP Orchestra and Maarten Altena and lead her own groups. Lately she plays mostly solo. Jan Willem van der Ham plays alto saxophone and bassoon in several line-ups that includes the Ives Ensemble. Both of them will invite musicians for an evening of short, adventurous sessions.
