BIMLAB 31 CURATED BY IMAN SPAARGAREN & PHILIPP MOSER
Iman Spaargaren saxophone, Kristina Fuchs voclas, Mark Alban Lotz flute, Theo Holsheimer guitar, Philipp Moser drums
Iman Spaargaren has mastered various sides of the tenor sax, from tight and funky to lyrical and classical. Previous concerts at BIMHUIS include Captain Hook and his own band. Additionally he’s part of various ensembles as a sax and clarinet player, but also as a composer, arranger and conductor. For this edition of BIMLAB he has formed a group together with Philipp Moser, who’s known as a drummer in the experimental group Spinifex and the math metal band Cilice, and who has a solid foundation in jazz, latin and Indian music.
BIMLAB is an improv series in the BIMHUIS café with unexpected musical encounters. For every edition, two curators are selected from the members of the Union of Dutch Improvisers (BIM), who were once the BIMHUIS founders. The curators will invite musicians for an evening of short, adventurous sessions.
A co-production with BIM, free entrance for BIM members.
