Bimhuis Sound System

As a resident for this bimonthly evening, Radikal Rupert invites guest DJs who bring a new and eclectic sound to the Amsterdam nightlife. This edition: Pushin Wood.

Pushin Wood is Jorge Madeira and Johannes de Jonge. They are co-founders of the label Bambeats, as well as organizers and DJs of the infamous LOFT-parties in Groningen.

Alongside his residencies at Noorderlicht, Volkshotel, Ruigoord and BIMHUIS, Radikal Rupert has been active in jazz, funk and reggae bands for ten years, and he has recently released an album with the Amsterdam Funk Orchestra. His passion for music speaks through the grooves of his records, in a wide range of styles, upholding a soulful and organic groove.
