Bik Bent Braam celebrates its 20 year anniversary by inviting Italian chef Bigio L’oster. Braam and Bigio have a lot in common: a solid knowledge of and respect for the tradition of an original, free and playful spirit. Bik Bent Braam draws from its own history by playing one piece from every program they ever did, like ‘De Parkeermeterfabriek’ (‘The Parking Meter Factory’), ‘Het XYZ der Bik Bent Braam’ (The XYZ of Bik Bent Braam) and ‘Alle 13 Goed’ (All 13 Great). In recent years the band developed ‘bonsaing’, a unique way of improvising for an ensemble of this size. In his restaurant outside Bergamo, Bigio L’oster has brought food an music together since many years at his festival ‘Jazz a Niuporc’ where Braam was a guest in 2004. By combining traditions and products from his area with an original and creative approach he puts a multi course dinner on the table that is as adventurous as the music in the first part of this double bill. The menu of this evening is shown in the link below. Start concert 7pm, followed by the dinner.
