In August a new edition of ZomerJazzFietsTour will take off. Alongside various bicycle routes in the beautiful Reitdiep valley northwest of the city of Groningen a series of jazz and improv concerts will take place in medieval churches and barns.

The BIMHUIS looks ahead to the adventurous festival with a double concert, featuring the trio of vocal performer Greetje Bijma, violin and viola player Mary Oliver and pianist Nora Mulder. They have previously performed together at the festival Le Guess Who? The duo of bass clarinetist Joris Roelofs and Holland’s most adventurous drummer Han Bennink will present their brand new album Icarus released by the ICP label.
