BENJAMIN HERMAN QUARTET

Sharply dressed and in tight command of his reed, Benjamin Herman is one of today’s most remarkable and excellent Dutch saxophone players. He has collaborated with everyone, from poets to rappers, from Candy Dulfer to Misha Mengelberg, making him a versatile key figure on the current Dutch music scene.

Benjamin Herman has toured all over the world as the founder and leader of New Cool Collective. Aside from that he regularly performs in smaller line-ups, for example his current quartet with Spanish piano talent Miguel Rodriguez, double bassist Ernst Glerum and drummer Joost Patocka.

‘Herman is an alto saxophonist with a penchant for hyperkinetic jazz, not to mention a wicked sense of humor’ (Downbeat).
