New band featuring four of the most respected Dutch jazz musicians of all times. Never before have they performed in this exciting combination!
The four musicians all grew up on jazz, started playing live at a very young age and have written jazz history with bands such as New Cool Collective and ICP Orchestra. Saxophonist Benjamin Herman, pianist Peter Beets, double bassist Ruud Jacobs and drummer Han Bennink: they have performed with one another incidentally, but never before in this combination. Their endless combined career includes collaborations with national and international stars, from Rita Reys and Tony Bennett to Sonny Rollins and Ben Webster. This new quartet could be the beginning of a flourishing collaboration.
The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 till 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
